How many pounds have you lost?
I lost approximately 18 pounds.
How long did it take you to lose the weight?
I started seeing Fran Werner in January 2000. And by June of that year I had lost most of my weight.
How long have you kept it off?
2 years
What motivated you to lose weight?
It was New Year's Eve and we were watching home videos of some cruises we had taken - several couples of our friends were at our home - I saw myself in the video and said "enough is enough". It was so embarrassing to see myself on film and looking so big.
What were your previous weight loss efforts like? How is this one different?
I once followed another plan called Forever Slim which I was successful with, but after another pregnancy found losing the weight was very difficult.
How did you feel losing weight?
It felt fantastic to feel and look lighter.
How have your family and friends reacted?
The reaction was terrific. I finally started to get compliments again!
What eating changes have helped you the most?
Cutting calories, eating less and being conscious of whatever I put in my mouth.
What physical activity changes have helped you the most?
Yoga
What is your current physical activity like?
I have always done a lot of exercise. I lift weights twice a week, take yoga classes 3-4 times per week and walk 4.5 miles or do approximately 45 minutes to an hour of cardio 3 days per week.
What tips do you have for others?
Believe in yourself, lose weight and a whole new wonderful, self assured "YOU" will emerge.
What’s your favorite low-calorie snack food?
